  1. Our fourth stay at 5 Ribble Terrace was as comfortable as can be. Mark and Debbie are helpful and friendly owners who, as always, were only too willing to make our stay enjoyable. This very comfortable house is in a superb location, not just for the views of the river, but also for its convenience for walking in the dales. Its also in easy reach for shopping, pubs and restaurants. This was probably one of the best weeks we have had in Settle from where we had some marvellous and awe inspiring walks on Whernside and viewing the Norber eratics. We will be back next year.

This is our second visit and will be our third next year. We chose this area for the tranquility and we were certainly not disappointed.
The cottage is situated in a lovely spot overlooking the river and the lovely town and railway station only minutes away. The cottage was cosy and extremely comfortable and very clean. The owners were very welcoming and kind. This is the ideal place for both my partner and myself and we very much look forward to returning next year.

  3. Our stay 7-14 August.
An immaculate cottage with plenty of room for 3 generations to enjoy. The scenery is beautiful, and the owner welcoming and informative. We all loved our visit; walking, climbing, visiting a cave, and visiting York. There is also a rail and bus service and we hope to return. Joan West.

This is a lovely cosy cottage, near the river. It is immaculately clean , with the choice of a real fire, if required.A real home from home, everything you need for a relazing holiday.

The market town of Settle is a short walk away , with plenty places to eat.
The scenery is fantastic, with plenty of excellent walking .
Local people are friendly and very helpful, also the owner of the cottage, took the time to check, we were okay.
We knew this area well, but if this is your first stay at this cottage, without a car, there is still plenty of things to do, the local train station, is less than 10 minutes away on foot, you can hire bicycles in the village, many walks start out of the village.
We definitely intend to return , to the beautiful Yorkshire Dales and this cosy cottage.

  5. This was our first visit to Ribble terrace and we weren’t disappointed. The views were excellent over the river and the cottage was spotless. We were surprised to find the rooms were very spacious with everything you could possible want. The owners were more than helpful and it was lovely to have an open fire. On arrival there was tea, coffee and milk so that we could make a drink. The house is very near the shops and restaurants so it was nice not to have to drive. we wouldn’t hesitate to book this again if we were in the area.

  6. This is our third visit to 5 Ribble Terrace and as ever had a lovely stay. The house is in central Settle and is in an ideal position for walking and has easy access to shops etc. It is a cosy, warm and comfortable house; we loved the coal fire in the evening and the views from the window of the river Ribble. We always find the owners friendly and very helpful and will be returning next year.
