We are a Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage on the border of Settle and Giggleswick close to the River Ribble in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
A delightful stone-built, terraced cottage situated in an enviable position, overlooking the River Ribble in the market town of Settle. With lovely views of the river and Giggleswick, this Settle cottage offers a welcoming base for a family wishing to explore this part of the Yorkshire Dales.
Our cottage: Sleeps up to 5 in 3 bedrooms, has off road parking and is non smoking. We are walking and cycle friendly.

Outside this Settle cottage, there is a communal lawned area to the front with benches, next to the river, which provides a great spot for relaxing with a good book or simply a place to watch the world go by.
Within walking distance of this Settle cottage are riverside walks, a number of pubs, serving fine ales and good food, a public swimming pool and a railway station.
We welcome walkers and can provide undercover storage for bicycles

A Yorkshire Dales Holiday Cottage 
Another fabulous stay in Settle. The fact that this was our tenth year at No.5 says it all. Always spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. The house is very spacious with everything you need for a great holiday. Mark is a brilliant host and always attentive should the need arise. Settle is a lovely town with loads of good walks nearby as well as further afield. We have already booked for next year.
Just wanted to thank you for being an attentive and helpful host. Your place was lovely and we would definitely stay again if in Settle. Our evening entertainment was watching bats as they flitted around our heads just outside the cottage front and back – a delight.

Although the weather was mixed we still enjoyed a relaxing week at Mark’s place. It’s the Dales, what’s not to like?
We had our thirteenth stay at Ribble Terrace and as usual had a fantastic time. Number 5 is always a home from home; the house is lovely, warm and cosy with very comfortable beds and Mark and Debbie are very helpful hosts. Settle is a great place from which to explore the beauty of the Dales, it’s is a lovely town with lots of good cafes, restaurants and pubs.
We had a lovely time staying in the cottage, host Mark was very welcoming and gave us some top tips re local eateries and information. It feels more of a house than a cottage as it’s very spacious, comfortable and welcoming after a walk in the hills or day out on the amazing Settle & Carlisle railway. It’s very convenient as it’s near the town centre, railway station, shops and yet in a peaceful road with great views of the river. We loved our stay in both Settle and the cottage.
We had 10 great days here and were impressed with the house. Everything was spotless. The open plan kitchen/dining room is a great sociable space and the lounge bay window is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the view. Facilities all in good working order and easy to use. Mark was very friendly and easy to contact.
The area itself has lots to offer. There are glorious cycle rides and walks straight from the door, pubs with good food, interesting independent shops and the kids loved the swimming pool.
