We let our cottage through a well known holiday cottage agency, but have a number of weeks every year available to book directly through ourselves at more attractive rates.

This was our 9th or 10th year staying at number 5. As always the house was spotlessly clean and warm when we arrived. Mark always calls round after we arrive to make sure everything is ok. The house is in such a great position with a lovely view of the river. You can even see Pen-y-ghent on a clear day, sadly we didn’t have too many of those this year, but the rain didn’t stop us getting out. I think the fact that we have stayed here so many times and have even booked for next year says more that words can say.

We have have just returned from a very enjoyable and relaxing weeks stay at 5 Ribble Terrace, a lovely, clean and comfortable property set in a fabulous location right by the river. Settle town centre with its shops/pubs/railway station etc and neighbouring Giggleswick are a short walk, either along the road, or via the scenic riverside paths. Could not ask for a better host than Mark, who made us feel very welcome and was always available if needed. Really looking forward to staying again.
Our first time at 5 Ribble Terrace and how lucky to have found this gem! The house is perfectly situated by the river, a few minutes from shops and with walks right from the doorstep. The house has everything one needs, and is very clean. When raining, one can simply watch the river and the birds. Mark is such a helpful and lovely host, and it felt like home from home.
Lovely house in a great location. Was so nice being on the river and a short walk or drive from everything we wanted to do. We enjoyed watching bats from the window at dusk! The house had everything you could possibly need – the washer and dryer were very useful due to travelling with kids and the wet weather, the beds were really comfortable, and off road parking very useful too. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare food for the children and Mark kindly provided a highchair and stair gate for our youngest. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again!
We have just returned from our 9th consecutive stayr at no 5, and, as usual, it did not disappoint. The house was as immaculate as ever, and Debbie and Mark were brilliant as always. It is interesting to note the positive way in which Settle is pulling together to recover from the pandemic – so different to other towns, which have fallen by the wayside. Onwards and Upwards, and we will return next year – one gets really hooked! >
This was our first time at 5 Ribble and we will certainly be back. The property was conveniently located for walking driving and even taking the bus or train. It was spotless and well maintained.
Mark, our host, was friendly and helpful. He had some good ideas for our visit.
Even though the weather was mixed the property had the attraction of watching the river grow from a gentle trickle to a raging torrent.
Anyone staying here certainly won’t regret it.
