Lovely, comfortable house in a beautiful, peaceful setting overlooking the river. We have never known a week go past so quickly. There are so many varied activities- – truely something for everyone. There are also superb restaurants & cafes in Settle & surrounding areas. We loved it & will definitely be returning. Special thanks to Mark & Debbie for the warm welcome & helpful suggestions.
We have been visiting this lovely, comfortable cottage in a fantastic location with easy access to both town and countryside for several years now. Ideal for walkers, as you can leave your vehicle parked up and walk straight from the front door; 5 min’s walking distance to pubs shops and restaurant in both Settle and Giggleswick.
We would like to thank our lovely hosts Mark, Debbie and Hannah for allowing us to stay in this beautiful location and for showing us around the beautiful chapel; and very much look forward to our next visit.
Thank you
Angela & David
Lovely, comfortable cottage in a perfect position for touring, walking & for steam train enthusiasts. The cottage was well equipped, spotless & in a beautiful position by the river. We saw a variety of different birds, just outside the window & a Kingfisher on the river. The milk, tea, coffee was much appreciated,as was the information leaflets left by the friendly, helpful owners. We would definitely choose this cottage, if we return to the area in the future.
23 June to 30 June 2017. Ideal location for exploring Settle, the Dales and some Cumbria; don’t miss the Settle Carlisle railway. The house is very clean, tidy, well equipped and personifies the love of its owner. Thank you Mark for the loan of this wonderful house. Regards David, Marcus and Jack.
This is a beautiful old house on the edge of the town within 5 min’s walking distance to pubs shops and restaurant in both Settle and Giggleswick. There are many walks in the area and from Settle itself. The owners are attentive and welcoming. Also they are very knowledgeable about the area and keen to help in any way, We enjoyed the our holiday here and have already booked for next year.
This property is immaculate and well organised with good quality and well-considered facilities. It’s in a fantastic location with easy access to both town and countryside, yet very peaceful as situated by the River Ribble. The hosts were very helpful and offered interesting local information as well as kindly posting back my daughter’s necklace when we realised it has been accidentally left at the property.
