  1. Another great week at Ribble Terrace. As always the house was spotlessly clean and warm when we arrived, and we soon felt completely at home. Feet up and fire alight, glass of wine at the side what could be more perfect for our first evening. Mark, the perfect host called round to make sure everything was ok and was always on hand should the need arise. Settle is a lovely little town and perfect for getting to other parts of the Dales as well as walks from the door. I think this was our 8th year of staying here and we have already booked for next year. Thank you Mark & Debbie.

  2. We had a great stay at Ribble Terrace. The house was cosy, yet spacious and with all the proper facilities. The view on the Ribble from the living room was great, it turned into a powerfull river after a few days of heavy rain.

There’s plenty to do and see in and around Settle, and there’s some beautiful hikes just outside the front door. Mark is a gem. Recommended!

  3. We had a great stay in this lovely house in such a splendid location with pretty views over the river Ribble from the house. It is an easy walk to the town centre , railway station and Booths supermarket.
The house was immaculately presented throughout, beds and furniture comfortable and kitchen well equipped.

We had some very wet days and the laundry facilities in the basement were invaluable.
I would happily recommend this property.

  4. We had a long weekend over August bank holiday with a group of friends and family in other cottages nearby. 5 Ribble Terrace is ideally located with lovely views of the Ribble at the front and parking to the rear. We only took the car out once or twice as all amenities were in easy walking distance. We started longer hikes from the door. We have booked again for 2022.

  5. WHO NEEDS ABROAD?
In these uncertain times, it reassuring to know that some things never change. I refer, of course, to Settle and this lovely holiday home where we have just spent our 7th visit. Mark and Debbie are terrific hosts and good neighbours for whom nothing is too much trouble and it is wonderful to find a “home from home” in a different part of the country. There is so much to do and see that one is spoilt for choice. Richard Cadbury (the chocolate man!) referred to his home as “a little paradise of comfort”. That is what you will get if you come here.
    SO – WHO NEEDS ABROAD??

  6. We spent a week at Marks house in June. It was perfect for us and our friends.
The house is lovely and in a beautiful part of Settle. An ideal base for sightseeing and relaxing too. Settle has everything you need for a great stay.
Mark was the perfect host and made our stay special, offering ideas for places to go, as well as assisting us when one of our motorbikes broke down, I can’t thank him enough for all his help.
I would definitely return without hesitation. Highly recommend.
