Our holiday cottage sleeps 5 in three bedrooms, near Yorkshire’s Three Peaks, we are walker and cyclist friendly.

We are a Yorkshire Dales holiday cottage on the border of Settle and Giggleswick close to the River Ribble in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

A delightful stone-built, terraced cottage situated in an enviable position, overlooking the River Ribble in the market town of Settle. With lovely views of the river and Giggleswick, this Settle cottage offers a welcoming base for a family wishing to explore this part of the Yorkshire Dales.

Our cottage: Sleeps up to 5 in 3 bedrooms, has off road parking and is non smoking. We are walking and cycle friendly.

Outside this Settle cottage, there is a communal lawned area to the front with benches, next to the river, which provides a great spot for relaxing with a good book or simply a place to watch the world go by.

Within walking distance of this Settle cottage are riverside walks, a number of pubs, serving fine ales and good food, a public swimming pool and a railway station.

We welcome walkers and can provide undercover storage for bicycles.

  1. Our third visit and as good as ever. There is always a new surprise and the smart tv was this year’s. The cottage is perfectly located for walking into Settle for the bars and shops. Also a great walking area for the energetic. The welcome is exceptional and the cottage is stacked with info for those who are on their first visit to the area. Thank you and hope to see you on our next trip to UK.

  2. Another lovely week at 5 Ribble Terrace, where as usual we were made most welcome. This is our fifth visit which we look forward to each year. The cottage is so convenient with everything you could wish for on your holiday; there is so much to do and see in the area. Each year we find something new and somewhere to go on our next trip. Why bother going abroad with all the hassle of flights, crowded airports and stations and heatwaves (we visited Settle in a heatwave – the cottage was beautifully cool and quiet, because it is so well built. Thank you to Debbie and Mark for making us so welcome again

  3. We stayed at Ribble Terrace for 2 weeks end op April 2019. The cottage is in a excellent quiet location, with views on the river. Mark made us really welcome and give us some “must see” tips.
    The house is full equiped and among the best we have met in about 10 years of self catering hiring.
    Highly recommended.

  4. The four of us have had a lovely week at 5 Ribble Terrace. The cottage is cosy, comfortable and clean and just a short walk to the town and it’s varied amenities. We were lucky enough to enjoy wonderful weather which added to a super holiday in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. We will be very happy to recommend it to friends and to return ourselves at some future date. Thank you Mark!

We had our seventh visit to 5 Ribble Terrace and as always we found it so welcoming, comfortable and very handy to walk to the town centre, railway station and Booths supermarket (Waitrose of the north). The house is very clean and warm with comfortable beds and a walk-in shower. It is also practical for walkers with hard floors through the kitchen and hallway with storage for boots in the cellar. The generous welcome pack included milk, delicious biscuits and a starter bucket of coal for chilly nights (but we used for the effect). Mark was, as always, very hospitable accommodating and helpful. We are having an extra week in June for the Irish Festival in Kirkby Lonsdale and looking forward to returning next month.

  6. We stayed at Ribble Terrace for a number of weeks whilst we were waiting to move into a new house. Mark and Debbie made us really welcome and provided everything we needed. The cottage is in an excellent location by the river Ribble. It is very well equipped, very comfortable with an excellent shower and beds. We have no hesitation is recommending this cottage and will be back in the future.
